Recently Mr Nitin Gadkari visited a Dalit home and had lunch there.
We started seeing reports like he is copying Rahul Gandhi, BJP is desperate to woo votebank etc etc. News channels had discussion about Rahul factor and BJP/Gadkari factor....blah blah blah
The tents being used in the meeting in Indore, as an austerity measure, were also discused with sarcasm. When congress started it, it was AUSTERITY DRIVE and when BJP does it its a natak?
I always wonder why there is a change in approach in media reporting, when it comes to BJP .
In hindi slang, there is a proverb...tum kare to chamtkaar, hum kare to balatkaar??!!!(Pls dont think this as my insensitivity towards serious crime like rape)
Something similar is the case with media's approach toward BJP. Rahul(Congress) kare to chamtkar and BJP(Gadkari) kare to balatkaar....
When Rahul visits Dalits or travells in a local, its a great news and he is very natural doing that.
But when Gakari visits dalit home or a Ram Naik (ex railway minister) travells in a local train (in peak hours, in second class) its not a news and if it at all is a news, its a desperate attempt to revive the party image.
Why didnt media feel that Rahul is desperately wooing dalits when he visited dalit homes ????
Why report same incidents with a perspective?? What is Rahul's contribution to this country? What are his credntials?
Is it being a GANDHI??Being goodlooking?? Being Fluent in english??foreign education???Popular in girls??? I dont see any other qualifications in RAHUL "THE" GANDHI
On the other hand Gadkari comes from a non political family.
He started from a karyakarta rank. And now he is President because of his work.
He is the man responsible for the first expressway that INDIA has seen. He also is an architectof about 50 flyovers in Mumbai within period of five years.
He has a sugar factory which also generates electricty but maharashtra govt doesnt want to buy that due to political reasons.
With all this, how Rahul and Gadkari can be compared?
My earnest request to media, pls be fare with everybody. Atleast dont be unfare with BJP.
Afterall they are ruling in many states. Almost all their chief ministers are among the best in country.(surveys have proven that).
I am not a Gadkari fan or a BJP/RSS worker. I am a simple INDIAN working professional staying in bangalore. I do have my political inclinations (the way media has). I only wanted to convey that media completely seems to be biased against BJP/RSS. And wanted to share my thaughts on that. Thats it.
PS: This was for all Arnab Goswamis and Rajdeep Sardesais and Shekhar Guptas and some real funny news anchors from AAJ TAK/HT family. May god give you and your new houses, a sense of right and wrong.
yeeeeee....that was my first blog............................................... :)

I agree with you. Grate observation Keshav.
ReplyDeleteVery true, Rushya!!
ReplyDeleteNice. Keep it up. You r correct. This may be because there is congress raj at centre. Media is nothing but prostitute lays for current political leaders (Not All).
ReplyDeleteWelcome a borad Joshi!
ReplyDeleteAll the best for Blogging.
Nice to see you writing on topic which is close to my heart. I am keenly following Gadkari's moves to face-lift BJP and I am optimistic for his success.
Forget about media as they want to make fun out of it. I will not surprise if Lokmat's headline today is "Gadkari Orchestra".
One good thing for Gadkari is, he is underdog and not having burden of expectation.
No doubt Rahul Gandhi is carrying that burden since long and Indian janata is waiting for him to disappoint them. It seems like his charm is glamour for attraction.
One should not forget leaders like Shivraj Chouhan, Raman Singh are holding their ground strongly inspite of simple and ground to earth approach.
wow.gr8 rushya......... i like it......
ReplyDeletefrom last so many days; atleast after rahul's visit in mumbai, these furious thots were also in my mind. Discussed at all levels (like office, tea katta, building frends, with wife, with Aai(Rahul Bhakt)) now i liked ur idea to express like the way u hv done. And nicely written as well. But please dont expect, as brijesh said, from media, for whom Rahul is a new money making easy business....thats all...... do u really think they admire Rahul..? no...never.he is just a icon who is fetching money for them. Media has now come up as the most dirty business....dirtiest than prostitution, i dare to say!Media particularly the, television media, has really ruined moral values for money. its not the case of congress or BJP, its all about IPL, MNS, MNKhan, shivsena, or copy right issue, or shikhan paddhati... lots of issues.....media is biased like anything. And even they dont think what will be the effect of our discussions on society? lot of times society do not beleive whatever is shown by the media. and at least dont get panic out of this (Bute uchalnyachi) congress sanskruti. A simple congress-man who has taken a birth in Gandhi Family, who has come 2 mumbai just for youth congress promotion, and whole of the ministry, system was engaged for him. As far as his promotion of Youth congress it was a party program, do we really think all this show was necessary? Crores of rupees were wasted in this arrangement? Recently all the ministry was busy in giving protection to '(MNis)Khan' , CM and DyCM and his officials were busy in watching movie, and a major rerrorist attack came just next day of this......! and not only our media but we as well have become so in-sensitive that many of us wud not have even thot of this in our busy (family & office) schedule. AAAahh, please let me stop, aag lagli ahe mazya angala...when these thots come 2 my mind....dont worry yaar, just lets keep our sensitivity live so that any in justice to society at least will make us to write... thanx once again for giving me way 2 express myself.... if u and our frends dont mind then lets take this subject as thread and lets express ourselves..........please join......
Media does their business honestly. Its upto us what to take n what not. Its only because of the media we have access to all this information thez days.
ReplyDeleteOur represetatives(whoever it is) should be qualified, smart and should possess excellent communication skills.
Good write-up Rushya! Everybody feels, only few can express, which is equally important!
ReplyDeleteInfact its a peculiarity of every media, they do it for every thing they report, whatever happens they express though biased or rational ways, and its a global phenomenon as I see.
They have their own monitory and stratergic interests in doing it. Its quite obvoiuos interests have a consequence of making an individual biased. Biased media is a very old issue for BJP, they always complain they are wrongly expressed via media into the audience; my question is different, why couldn't BJP have similar kind of channels or media favouring or lobbying for them. Infact they are the 'right- wing' party. Why they haven't made this vital correction in their Politico-social process? Why couldn't BJP manage the media as efficiently as Congress does it? I believe if we get a basic answer of this question we will be able to understand the behaviour of the media. Its something fishy in Media's Center-Left connections.
Well said Keshav
ReplyDeletehave u seen ZENDA? (a recent marathi movie )
Watch then you will come to know its a DHANDA.(sorry down market work)Its a business man,all the politicaians and bloody Media F****r are selling the things which is not at all sellable. no doubt there are exceptions and i think the well educated public will never follow the media blindly. the best example is the public protest at GATE WAY OF INDIA after 26/11.AVAM JAB JAG JATA HAI TO TAKTH HILA DETI HAI.the funny thing is that the Marathi News channels are also following the Delhi track.
public always remember the Leaders who really contributed for the nation, state or city.Nitin Gadkari is one of them. you were there in Thane when CHANDRASHEKHAR was transferd from THANE to NAGPUR,what a public reaction!
the conclusion is DIKHAVE PE MAT JAO APNI AKAL LAGAO.
Sensible post Keshav. There are very few people who post outside the very mainstream media forums about what is wrong with the media. I hope there are more such blogs about the intent of mainstream media and how it is a dangerous cocktail mix of corporate interests posing as public good.
